36 week appointment!!!!! A little TMI so do not read if you don't want to know!

Last warning, a little TMI!! If you are not a mom you will probably not understand some of the terms and I will NOT answer questions about those terms if you are not a mom or not over the age of 20! lol

OK! Now that we have that coverd for those that follow my blog on facebook! lol Here we go!

Everything went great! They had to try 4 times to get my blood pressure! lol For whatever reason the little machine did not like me so Kristen (my nurse) did it the old fashioned way and it was just perfect, as usual. Everything else looks great as well. This appointment was the one they check for Group B Strep, fun! lol She also checked to see if I was dilated and make sure the fluid levels were ok and heart rate was ok and so on. So she checks me and again gets this look on her face! Grrr! lol I hate it when she does this! lol So she looks at me and says "You are 2-3" Um I am 2-3 what? lol She said "You are 2-3 centimeters!" OMG! Are you freaking kidding me?!?! lol I was freaking out! She asked why and I told her, with Madison we went in to my 38 week appointment and I BEGGED to be SOMETHING! ANYTHING! So my doctor told me I wasn't really anything but she would say I was a 1. lol Ok, I can live with that! This was on Thursday or Friday, Sunday I was in the hospital IN LABOR! lol She goes "Oh, well I can see why you would be freaking out then!" lol Um yeah! So here I am walking around dilated and it is freaking me out! lol With Madison I knew I was having contractions, this one though they are so sporadic it is kind of hard to tell, plus they don't hurt. I am just afraid I will go from 2-3 cen to like 8 and not even know it! ROFL I know I can be this way for the next month but I could also have her next week! We are getting SO close! Plus, I am starting to lose some of the mucus plug, which again doesn't really mean anything but it is just another step closer. Anyway, that is my big news for this week. I go back next Thursday.

We are down to the wire!!!

I am now 35.5 weeks pregnant! My last appointment was this past Friday. It went well, as usual, I have gained 3 pounds in the last month (actually I have not gained any, it is all the baby, I will get to that in a min.), blood pressure was good and everything else is just fine. NOW! The baby! I am laying there getting my ultrasound, like I do every time, and Dr Summers is talking to Madison, like she does every time, asking her if she is ready to be a big sister. THEN, she kinda looks at the screen and looks a little shocked. OH CRAP I am thinking. Then she asked Madison if she was ready to be a REALLY BIG big sister! OMG! WHAT! Mallory, according to the ultrasound measurement (which I called my aunt about freaking out and she then told me they are pretty accurate) shows her currently weighing 6 pounds 4 ounces! WHAT?!?!?! OMG! I am only 35 weeks and she ALREADY weighs 6.4?!?!? Madison weighed that when we brought her home from the hospital and I had her at 38 weeks!!! OMG OMG OHHHH MYYYYY GGGOOOOSSSSHHHH!!!! So THEN someone says to me, aren't they supposed to gain like a pound a week these last few weeks? WHAT?!?! PLEASE tell me that you are kidding me?!?! But I went back and looked at the previous measurements and sure enough, it has been about a pound a week these last few weeks! OMG! SO let's see, I have 4.5 weeks to go so we are looking at almost 11 pounds?!?!? NO WAY can that be right! NO WAY! AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Anyway, I start my weekly appointments now and the next one is my group b check, fun. lol But other than the GIANT baby, everything looks great! lol

34 weeks today!

Man! Where has the time gone? As I made my way to the potty for the millionth time this morning I looked in what is now Madison's room and will soon be Mallory's room thinking, wow in just a few short weeks she will be here! It is kind of hard to actually think the baby that has been growing in me for the past 8 months will soon be here, in our arms! I am at a reflecting point in my pregnancy where I have been looking back and thinking about when we first brought Madison home and the first few months she was here. It is pretty much a daze, you are SO tired it is hard to remember things and the times you aren't tired you are in this total mommy bliss and it is just amazing how you can actually function! lol Madison was (and still is) such a good baby! No, she really was! I really could not have asked for a more perfect baby! Ok, there was this ONE time that she was upset because of gas that I thought about giving up but that is it! lol I am so scared that Mallory will be the total opposite! But, my Aunt Barbara told me that Madison was such a good baby because she was very loved and because I am such a good mom and that this one will be just like her! Awwww!! I so hope she is right! lol Just like my first pregnancy this one has gone by with out any problems thank goodness! Actually, this one has been a lot easier. My gallbladder was acting up with Madison and I seriously thought I was going to die it hurt SO bad! But, we didn't know it was my gallbladder until like 3 months AFTER I had her! Yeah, it sucked! lol

So, here I am today at 34 weeks looking for any sign on labor! lol My braxton hicks contractions have pretty much totally stopped! YAY! lol But they have been replaced by my ligaments stretching and just every muscle in my body moving about. I remember with Madison I would wake up at night with such overwhelming pain in my mouth, of all places, and it seemed nothing would help! Well, I am getting that again this time! It is the strangest thing! Why my mouth would need to loosen up is beyond me but whatever! lol Anyway... I just keep counting down the weekends and it looks something like this:
April 3rd doctors appointment
April 4th local Easter Egg hunt
April 5th Sesame Street Live
April 12th Easter
April 13th Sibling class and hospital tour
April 18th is my shower (I think, I am leaving the date totally up to mom and Aunt Brenda)
April 21st is Michael's birthday
Then from that point on, other than Marissa's birthday, I am clear to have a baby! lol I do really hope I have her in April, May is full enough already! Yeah, it would throw my moms mother ring off (if she were to be born in May she would have 2 emeralds and 2 ruby's and 2 peridots! lol) but hey, why not toss a diamond in the mix? IF she is born in May I hope it is like May 1st! ROFL I just do not want to make it to my due date, I was spoiled because Madison was early and it was great! Ok, well I need to run and take a shower and clean the house a bit, John's friend is staying the weekend with us. I hope you all have a great weekend, stay warm and dry! OH! Yeah, we are supposed to get 3-6 inches of snow here this weekend! OMG! For those of you that live up north that think that is nothing, to us that is like getting 15 inches! lol

Pain and contractions, contractions and pain

Grrrr!!! My BH contractions have definitely picked up! Yesterday was my most active day of them and I counted 5 in one hour then they stopped for a bit! At 6 I am to call my OB. I average at least 2-3 an hour right now, but only in the afternoon and at night, for some reason I do not have them earlier in the day. Now the pain...OMG! I get these shooting pains in my upper thighs then it goes down to my mid thigh, kind of in a strait line. It has to be a nerve but it doesn't matter what position I am in I still get them and moving around does not help. After they go away I get a lot of pressure. :( I tell you these next 6 weeks are going to be hell! lol But I already knew that, it was hell with Madison as well. I have an appointment tomorrow morning and will be talking to my doctor about all of this, hopefully she can tell me something that will help ease the pain.

31 week appointment....

Sorry! I know, I know!! I am SO far behind! lol Let try to catch everyone up......

So, yes I did go to my moms for nearly a week. It was pretty fun, I was sick the entire time though. :( I was not able to get ANYHTING I wanted to get done, done. Grrrrr!! Monday, I ended up going to the JBF sale. What a disappointment that was! I waited until nearly 2:00pm to go and already everything was SO picked over! It was awful! Next time I am for sure going to try to go to the presale or get up EARLY and go on the first actual sale day, hopefully I will have better luck by doing that. Tuesday I had to come home, John and I were just getting worse so we both went to the doctor. His allergies were SO bad he had to get a shot, he couldn't see because his eyes were so bad. So she put him on Flonase and eye goop. He is doing a lot better, his eyes are still a little if-y but getting better. I ended up having strep along with yucky allergy problems!! I was put on an antibiotic for the strep and told to take Benadryl for the allergies. My throat still hurts but it is getting better, I am sure screaming at the NKOTB concert the other night did nothing to help me either! lol My actual 31 week appointment went well. My blood pressure was really low, which I was told is just fine and OK, I ended up losing a pound! WOOHOO! lol And I for sure do NOT have gestational diabetes! YAY! Miss Mallory is still head down, yay, and weighs in at 3 pounds 9 ounces so far. Everything looks great and I am ready for her to get here! lol I really hope I do NOT make it to my due date! If she would like to get here around April 25, that would be awesome! lol I am now 32 weeks and each week that goes by she is getting stronger and stronger, and bigger and BIGGER! lol Madison was so little, long but little, I hope Mallory is around the same. My doctors then were worried that Madison would be HUGE, this was at 37 weeks, but she was not at all! I really don't trust the ultrasound measurement for weight because it has been so off for so many people but it is good to have an idea of what she is. Anyway, I am rambling now. My next appointment will be next Thursday, March 19.

Wow, it's been a while

So I had my 29 week appointment last Thursday (the 19th). Everything went just fine. I talked to her about my emotions and she said if they start getting too overwhelming to let her know and she will give me the name of a counselor. So since then I have not had many bad outbreaks, which I am sure John is thankful for! lol A few minor ones here and there but nothing major. So I think just talking to her about it helped. I also did my test for Gestational Diabetes. That came back a little high so I was sent to do my 3 hour on Monday (the 23rd). I have yet to hear anything back from the doctor! I did call on Tuesday and the results were not in yet and was told they would call as soon as they got them back. I am calling tomorrow to find out! I just want to know either way! Ok, I can understand them not calling after testing for a bladder infection but come on, this has the potential to be kind of bad! Just let me know, "You are absolutely fine, nothing to worry about." or "Yes your levels are still kind of high this is what we need to do....." or "You are border line so let's go ahead and just start this..." is that so hard to do?
I am sick. :( I am not sure what I have. My throat hurts, actually it is more scratchy now, I am coughing constantly and my chest and back hurt SO bad from coughing. Hopefully this does not last much longer.
Next week is the Just Between Friends sale in Tulsa. I can NOT wait! It is a HUGE consignment sale that has loads of maternity clothes, baby and kids clothes and just a lot of baby/kids/mommy stuff! I have never been so I have high expectations. lol Hopefully I will not be let down! I need some t-shirts, it is starting to get warm here, and I need to find a dresser for the nursery. We shall see what comes out of it.
I am staying at my moms starting on Sunday and will leave on Thursday. No, nothing is wrong. There is just a lot of stuff I would like to get done and can only do this if I am in, or near, Tulsa.

Ok, I think that sums the last few weeks up. My next appointment is next Thursday, March 5th. WOW! March already! I can't believe it!

It's Saturday and I am BITCHY!

Watch out! If one more guest says ANYTHING to me I may reach across the desk and eat them! It is just getting worse by the day! I don't know how much longer I am going to be able to take it! I don't *think* I act this way with John or any one else in my family or toward my friends, if I do am really sorry and I hope you know it really isn't me acting like this! I often wonder just how many moods one person can go through in a day. Let's see most of the time I am well just bitchy, then I am happy and sad and a combination of them all and it doesn't even have to be hours apart that my mood changes! It is more like seconds! gaah! Do you watch the show Scrubs? Dr. Cox's ex wife/wife (it is hard to keep up and I have not been able to watch much of this season so I am not sure if they are on again/off again) is SO bitchy to begin with and 20xs worse when she is pregnant. I never did understand WHY they would make her that way but now, now I TOTALLY understand! God help us all if I make to May! I just don't know what to do, is there really anything that will even help? "Oh just relax, take a hot bath, try to just get out for a few hours" ok really, nothing helps! I have heard it all and tried just about all of it! The worst part is knowing I will get over it for a while then just a few minutes later let the rush of emotions begin AGAIN! WHY must women go through this?!?! Well I guess we all know the answer to that, it is because if men had to go through this we would never hear the end of it and it would be SO much worse on us all! Ok, I think I will stop for now.

27 week appointment......

Nothing new as usual. The baby looks great, everything else looks great, I am doing great. lol Let's see, we talked about me getting highlights which she said she had no problem with! WOOHOO!! Hmmm what else. She gave me my info on the epidural so I need to call and get that set up. I go back on the 18th and we will measure everything again at that point and I will also have my glucose test then. I now go every 2 weeks, I can not believe I am already at that point! Starting Sunday I only have 90 days left! OMG! My head starts to spin every time I think about that! lol We have SO much to do and that is only 90 days left of just Madison and that makes me kind of sad. I thought I had always been on kind of an emotional roller coaster but I forget pregnancy makes it 20 times worse! Anyway, blood pressure was normal and I am at a total weight gain of 14 pounds, not too bad for being 7 months! Now, if I can just keep it down these last few months! lol

Why?

Why do you loose your mind when you are pregnant? The other day I went to put the milk up, walked into the living room and then realized what exactly I just did! I put the milk in the cabinet! NOT the fridge! A few days later I went to leave for work, got in my car tried to put the keys in the ignition only to realize my keys were not in my hand! In fact my keys were not even in my car! They were in the house! Grrrr!! I have totally forgotten how to spell and sometimes I just stand at work thinking about what exactly it was that I was doing! This is driving me nuts! I have been meaning to post about this for a few days now but keep forgetting. Good gosh! Luckily I have not done something TOTALLY stupid yet! I am sure if you just give me enough time I will though. I tell ya though, spend a day with me and you will be thoroughly amused at what all goes on! lol

She sure does like to move around a lot!

Man! She is getting to be SO active! She loves it when I get home from work and lay on the couch. lol That allows me to stretch out and in effect she gets to stretch out! lol Her kicks are getting stronger and stronger. Madison wanted to feel her move the other night so I pushed on my belly to get her started. What did Madison do? Ran in the other room and would not put her hand on my stomach! lol Kids! Madison is so cute, she will lay her head on my stomach and give it a hug and talk and talk and talk. She says she loves her baby so much and can not wait to hold her. Awwww!!! lol

Who wants a belly shot??

Just about 6 months. Please don't mind my massiveness!!

Did some yoga this morning!

YAY me! lol I bought this DVD months ago and just got it out this morning to give it a go. I have done a lot of pialtes in the past but that hurts right now! lol The yoga DVD has the word "workout" on it but honestly, it was like no workout I have EVER done! I did not get hot, no racing heart, it was GREAT! I may just actually do this again! ROFL

We have a name! And other stuff

Mallory Grace!!
I can not wait until she gets here!! Madison is getting more and more excited as the days go by. She keeps asking where her sister is and when will she be here. lol SO cute! We decided to have her go to a sibling class for fun. She will learn how to hold a baby, what sounds to expect, smells, and will be able to go into the nursery and see a real newborn. lol She is going to LOVE it! We will also tour the hospital on the same day. As THE day gets closer I get more and more anxious and scared. I know this is totally normal but you still feel like you are the only one that gets this way. The what ifs start and your mind just spins. I have not been sleeping well at ALL this past week. :( Guess I better get used to that though, it will be a while before I get a good nights sleep again. Madison is getting better at staying in her bed, we just need to get better of walking her back to bed and telling her she has to stay in her bed. We still have SO much to do before the baby gets here, I really don't think we will get even half of it done! I am starting to be OK with not painting the nursery or Madison's new room and just doing it later. We shall see though. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

OMG so I totally forgot to update after my "big" ultrasound!!

SORRY!! IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am SO excited!!! I always wanted a sister and for Madison to have one is going to be AWESOME! I can not wait for them to grow up together!! She is measuring right on schedule and looks just perfect!!

21.5 week appointment

Went great. I did end up gaining 5 freaking pounds since last time! ROFL But since I started down one pound I really only gained 4! My doctor did not say one word about it so all is good then! lol Please dear God do not let me gain that much this next month! lol The baby is kicking a LOT more now and I am starting to feel the kicks when I put my hand on my stomach, they are still kind of weak though but getting stronger!! She is a VERY active little baby and already has her days/nights confused! lol She is VERY active at night! lol We weren't able to get a good face shot at me US last week but my dr is not worried about that right now. I talked to her about my dizziness and she said it sounds like a drop in blood sugar and just to eat a little bit more before I get around in the mornings. I also talked to her about the swelling, I did not start to swell this early with Madison so it had me worried. She said not to worry about it right now and just really prop my feet up when I get home from work, not hard to do because I go right to bed after work! ROFL We waited an hour to get seen today! lol Usually they take me right back when I get there, she had been in delivery that morning so she was backed up from that. I don't mind waiting to see her though, she is totally awesome!

More dizziness and headaches :(

Tuesday I was in the shower, not any hotter than I usually take, and had just finished and was drying off. I bent my head down to wrap the towel around my head and started to get REALLY dizzy, I leaned over against the wall and once it went away I tried again. Yeah that was a BIG mistake! This time it was even worse than the first and I started to black out! I raised my head up and took some deep breaths, that seemed to help. The rest of the day if I turned my head wrong or looked down it would happened again. I also had a headache that day. Then since it has been on and off with the dizziness. I am still having my headaches but other than this morning they have not been near as bad as the one that landed me in the ER. I know I should have brought all of this up with my doctor at my last visit but I wasn't experiencing it at the time. If it doesn't get worse before my next visit I will for sure be bringing it up then. I don't have a clue what may be causing this. I have heard that if my blood pressure is low that could be why but it isn't really any lower than normal, not anything to be alarmed about at least, heart rate is good, I am eating normally, I think I am getting enough to drink but may try to up the intake to see if that helps at all. I really hope this stops soon. I almost had to call John to come and get me the other night from work. I had just pulled out of the parking lot and started to get dizzy again! I just took the deep breaths again and it went away. I don't feel like I am breathless or not getting enough air which I also hear can cause this. Who knows, hopefully it will end soon or I have an answer soon.

Ugh these stupid STUPID dreams!!!

Ok seriously! I have seen the baby by ultrasound 3 times already so WHY I am having these terrible dreams I have NO idea! So this morning I dreamed about my upcoming ultrasound, this is how it went: We were told to go to the wrong place so we were then late, for whatever reason John was not with me and went to the first place and could not find me there. He finally made it over to the other place. They didn't have a room ready for me, why I needed an actual room IDK but whatever, so we had to wait a little bit. We finally go in and they lay me down under what looks like a GIANT microscope, yeah not at all what an actual ultrasound machine looks like! So they start and then get really serious and make every leave the room! They told me something was wrong with the baby and showed me what it looked like. Yeah, it looked like a cross between a human and a freaking CHICKEN! ROFL The lower part of the leg, like below the knee, was normal but the thighs were HUGE! The abdomen and chest area was normal but instead of human arms it had like chicken wings! ROFL They were still fused together as well! OMG! So then after that dream there was another but I woke up before it really got started! I have 2 weeks before I go in for my next ultrasound, I don't know if I am going to be able to handle it! ROFL

Had another doc visit yesterday....

Everything looks great, again. lol BP was 124/68, baby's HR was 154 and I am at a total weight gain of -1 pound! WooHoo! We tried to see what the baby is but did not get that great of a look. Neither the doctor nor I saw anything between the legs, YAY, but again it wasn't that great of a shot. :( We go back on the 23 for the BIG ultrasound where they measure everything, hopefully the baby will cooperate then and we can get a better look. Do you know how crazy it is making me that I can't shop for the baby because I don't know what IT is?!?! Grrr!! But we should know soon! YAY! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, we did and had a great time shopping the morning after! lol I have to run, time to eat.

Spent a few hours in the ER Friday night

I have been dealing with headaches for most of my adult life. The past few weeks they have been pretty bad. Friday it just took the cake though. :( The Tylenol was NOT working and I didn't know what else to do. I ended up calling my mom in tears seeing if she knew of anything to help with the pain. She told me enough is enough and to call my OB or she was going to. So I called. My nurse, Kristen, told me that if the Tylenol was not helping the only other option I had was to go to the ER and have them give me something through an IV. She also wanted me to go ahead and come to the office to leave a urine sample because I thought I may have been getting a bladder infection. So we pack everything up and head to Tulsa. I didn't have to wait long at all to get in when we got to the ER, thank God. They took a look at my arms and decided my veins suck, I already knew that though since I go through this stuff a lot, so she asks me where they usually go in at and I point to the exact spot. Does the nurse listen to me??? NO! WTH?!?! Don't ask if you aren't going to listen to me! So she proceeds to insert the IV into another vein. After digging for what seemed like FOREVER she decided she was not going to find anything and to try the spot I pointed out. DUH! So guess what?!!? She had NO trouble getting the IV in that vein! GAAH!! So I finally get my meds, one of them made me feel REALLY weird. They also wanted to do a CT Scan. So off I went to another room to wait and wait and wait. They finally move me to the hall by the scan room and I waited there for about 20 min. After the guy took me into the room he asked if there was a chance I could be pregnant. Um YES! How did that little morsel of info miss you, everyone else knew I was pregnant there. So I told him "Oh yeah, I am 16 weeks." So he runs off to a little room talks to someone and comes back out to tell me there is still a chance the radiation can get to the baby, even if they shield me, because there is SO much with a CT Scan. So I opt out of it and off I went back to my room. The ER doc was NOT happy that I opted out but 1) I am not going to take the chance as small as it may be and 2) that is my right! So an HOUR later we were able to go. We were only there 3 hours so I can't complain too much, I just hate waiting. Saturday was a great day, I felt fine other than just REALLY thirsty. Then Sunday the headache returned. :( They sent me home with a script for something to help but I have not been able to get to Wal~Mart yet. But, they have not been NEAR as bad as Friday's, so that is good. I have exactly one week until my next OB appointment and can not wait!! I really hope we are able to see what the baby is!!! It is driving me nuts not knowing! I can't shop, I don't know whether to go ahead and start getting Madison's baby stuff out or selling it or what, I can't plan the nursery! Ugh! lol I really wish there was a painless way to tell what the baby was at day one! lol Maybe someday.

Anemic?

So I am thinking I may be anemic. I have a lot of the symptoms. I have always been borderline and with Madison I was even more so and had to supplemnt with some iron. So I guess I finally have something to ask my doctor now. lol At the end of each appointment she always asks if I have questions and I never do, but this isn't my first rodeo so I kind of know what is going on! lol
