Yes I AM a dork!

There, I said it! You can agree with me, that is just fine. I so deserve it after the day I just had! lol

So John had to be at work at 8:00am this morning, he left the house at 7:15! I gave him a hard time for leaving so early and he said when he doesn't leave early something always happens to make him late. Ok whatever! So he notices his tire is a bit low so he drives to the gas station to put air in it. He starts putting air in and it is just spewing right back out. There was a hole the size of a quarter in his tire! So to the tire store he goes, they were kind enough to drive him to work while they put the tire on, it also helps to know the owner. lol John worked there in HS. So that happens. About 3:00pm he calls me and needs me to pick him up from work and take him to pick up his car. So it is REALLY hot outside so I decide to go start the car and let it cool off, come back inside to get the girls ready then go back out. I go to open Madison's door and it is locked. Well crap! It's ok, my car has an auto lock on it but it always leaves the drivers side door unlocked. Go to open my door and the door won't open! OMG! I locked my keys in the car, it was running, my diaper back and PHONE are inside! UGH! We don't have a home phone, just use our cell phones. What am I going to do?!?! So the girls and I walk over to our neighbors house and use their phone. Call John so he can come to our rescue, or send someone to come to our rescue. Well, he was not there! He had stepped out! I started to panic a bit but then left a VERY detailed message with the guy he was working with. Waited about 5 minutes and called back. He had already left. Ok, we will go back to our house and wait, I had not locked the front door yet so that is good. THEN, Robert (the guy John was working with) tells me John has already left and the extra key was in the house. AWESOME! So I run back over to look for the key and email John. Wait! EMAIL John?!?! HELLO!! Why didn't I think of that FIRST! ROFL Then I remembered he was already on his way so emailing would do NO good what so ever! ROFL So I continue the search. I could not find that darn key anywhere! John finally gets here and goes right to the key! YAY! My knight in shinning armor saved us! lol So I followed him to work so he could take the car he borrowed back and we could go get his. Then I told him I almost emailed him and why hadn't I thought of that first and you know what he told me? Their email server went down about 3:45pm and he would have never gotten the emails. See, things always happen for a reason! lol So since this is the second time I have locked my keys in the car in less than a year I think we may look into AAA or one of those things that you put the key in and stick on your car! ROFL

Oh and did I mention today is John's birthday? ROFL What a way to spend your birthday! lol

Man I feel like I just hit the jackpot!! lol I found a farmers market that isn't too far away!!! I am SO excited!! I haven't been to a FM since I lived in Tulsa, 6 years ago! lol Hopefully we can get up early Saturday and go, since we missed it today. I LOVE fresh veggies and fruit and there is nothing fresher than right from the grower! Here is a list of FM's around Green Country. Not in Green Country? Just do a quick google search. Me + Cleaning = MAJOR procrastination!

For whatever reason cleaning the house and I do not get along very well! lol Sure I get a while hair every once in a while and will clean, clean, clean a room until it is totally spotless, then I walk in the next room and it is pigsty and I just get overwhelmed! How do you do it? How do you keep a house clean at all times when you have a hubby that works weird shifts, a 4 year old that drags every toy she has ever owned out in every room of the house and a 3 month old that likes to eat every other hour for at least 30 min then wants to be held or needs changed or spits up for the millionth time and needs changed AGAIN? I hope when the Mads goes to school I can get into a routine and get things done and keep it clean. I do about 4 loads of dishes a DAY! Countless loads of laundry and am always picking up toys and trash it seems like. I have come to the conclusion that we have entirely WAY to much stuff in this house and I need to just be a hard ass and get rid of most of it! Why do I hold on to things for so long? I have no idea so if you do please let me know! I mean I have magazines dating back to before I got married! ROFL I have a bin full of Bennie Babies (remember those) that I held onto in hopes of turning them into cash some day. Little did I know at 15 they would not always be so cool! lol I would love to just list it all on Ebay or Craigslist but my God do you know how long that would take? But on the other hand I would make SOME money by doing that! We already took a van full of just clothes to Goodwill once this year and now we need to make at least 5 more trips with just stuff! No, I am not kidding we really do have that much stuff to get rid of! Then there are the trips that we need to make to the dump to haul off all the trash! It isn't like gross trash like leftover food that makes your house smell it is just like papers and just stuff. I did learn that Best Buy will take your old computers, printers, scanners, electronics, etc for recycle and depending you can get a $10 gift card in return, that wouldn't be so bad. I just need to get on the ball and just get with it but it is getting to that point I am having an issue with. Ugh!

What do people in Vinita, Ok do on a Sunday afternoon?

The all gather in local parking lots and streets and watch one of the oldest buildings in town burn down. It was really sad! We could see the smoke from across town. We drove to my sil's, she lives about 2 blocks away, and I took pics. You could feel the heat from the fire all the over at her house! It was crazy! I am not sure how old this building was or how the fire got started but I am sure we will find out soon. We went to Pryor to do some shopping and when we came back into town it was still burning a bit.

My 3 dads...

Another Fathers Day has come and gone. Each Fathers Day I sit and think about what I have and a little of what I don't have. Let me start with my Dad. When I was little I remember being with him a lot, mostly holiday things but sometimes just hanging out. As I got older the time we spent together was less and less. It was about when I turned 16 that things took a dramatic turn. I don't know why, I wanted to spend time with him but it just seemed like he didn't want to spend time with me. I remember my senior year stressing over senior night because I just wasn't sure if he would show up or not so I didn't know if I should include him in the program or not. Well, sure enough about 5 min before we started, he showed up. My life with him has pretty much been this way. Stress and cry because I was not sure if he would be there or not. I remember one Fathers Day not that long ago I called him, like all good daughters do, and we talked for a total of 48 seconds! 48 SECONDS! Are you kidding me?!?! In 2003 one of the biggest events of my life took place, my wedding. I decided that my dad would not walk me down the aisle nor would he sit with the family. This was a really hard decision for me to make and lots of tears were shed over this. I was pretty much removing my dad from my "family" and making him just part of the crowd. But, he kind of did that himself. I tried, I tried SO hard to get him to notice me, to get him to want to be part of my life, to get him to accept me, but for whatever reason the older I got the more he pulled away. In 2005 my beautiful Miss Madison was born. To this date he has never seen her and I am not sure if I really want him to or not, I don't want her to have to go through what I went through, she does not need that. This past April I had my second beautiful daughter, Mallory. Honestly, I am not even sure if he knows about her. Some of you may be wondering why I don't just pick up the phone and call him well, I don't have his number, I have no clue where he lives, and honestly I am not sure I want him in my life anymore. I don't think I can handle the roller coaster of emotions anymore. I did try a lot harder when I was younger, I would call, I sent Christmas cards, etc. I really don't want anything in return other than a phone call that lasts longer than 48 seconds! I do love him, after all he is my dad and I would not be who I am now without him. I do worry about him, he hasn't always made the best choices. I do hope for the best for him.

The next man that came into my life, VERY shortly after my dad, is my Grandpa. I love him so much! Sure growing up with him was pretty hard at times, he was very strict. I did not see why he had to be so strict back then but boy do I ever see why now! lol I am glad he was like that. He has always given me the unconditional love and support a true dad should give his little girl. I am so glad I was able to grow up in his shadow. My grandpa is such a strong, loving, caring person. He has such a good heart and is SO smart in so many ways. He taught me so many things. He taught me how to cook, how to do some pretty cool science things, more about rocks than I think I ever wanted to know, he taught me how to fish, and though I don't remember it all he did teach me about oil wells. He showed me wild onions in the woods behind the house, he showed me how to pick apples and how to do this pretty cool thing that makes an apple tree into a pair tree! He is part of the reason I LOVE to travel! I always included him in everything because to me, he is my real dad. He walked me down the aisle and we danced the father/daughter dance together at my wedding. He is so good with my girls. I can't imagine how my life would have been without him being a part of it.

When I was 19 another very important man entered my life. My stepdad. I really don't think he knew exactly what he was getting himself into. When David and my mom got married, I was not the most pleasant person to be around. I was going through a REALLY tough time. I was growing and rebelling and trying to figure out just who I was. But David was there, beside my mom, every step of the way. I knew I could go to him and talk about things. He has such a big heart. It is true that God puts certain people in your life for a reason. David has also taught me a lot of things. I have learned about wine, scotch, and more about the average house fly than anyone wants to know! lol I have learned a lot about the Bible and God. Yes, I did learn this growing up but I have also come to the realization that as you get older you have even more questions. I like our conversations about the Bible and God, I am not even sure my mom knows I talk to him about this stuff (well she does now lol) it is kind of like our little "thing". We have always gotten along so well, except for a few weeks ago we got into our first argument and boy was that tough! He and I have very strong beliefs in what we each believe in so when it comes to trying to prove our point it can get pretty heated I learned. David also walked me down the aisle and I am glad he did. I can not imagine how my life would be without him in it. Sure, he may do some things a little odd but that is just him. I am so glad I am his daughter. I am even happier that my girls have them as their Grandad. The sparkle in his eyes when he sees them is just awesome!

So, there you have part of the story behind my 3 dads. And even though some of it has been hard, I would not change any of it. I would not be the wonderful person I am today if it had been any other way.

Recent Reality TV "Shockers"

I don't get it, really I just don't get it at all. Why is it such a shocker that my girl Shawn won DWTS?? She was good! Ok, yes maybe not as good as Gilles but she was still REALLY good! And besides, it is a matter of who votes! I am guessing she got a LOT of younger votes. Now, onto AI! HELLO!!! Kris is REALLY good and I would MUCH rather buy his CD than Adam's! Now, don't get me wrong Adam is really good to in his own way (just not really my style). Adam was just a bit to over the top for me. With Kris I know what I am getting, and I like that, with Adam I don't know. And for the record, no the gay thing was not why I think Kris won over Adam! That is just stupid and I think the media is pulling at strings with that one! Do they forget who actually votes on that show? It is the tweens and teens! Yes the adults watch the show but not near as many of them vote as the tweens. So congrats to Shawn and Kris! Now, onto So You Think You Can Dance! LOVE that show! Oh and BTW, Lacey AND Chelsie from DWTS got their start on that show! Way to go girls!

So yeah I am just now hearing about this and guess what.....tomorrow is the last day! lol Oh well! IF it isn't raining I think the Mad and I will be at the 71st and Sheridan location tomorrow for a free lunch and to try to win that $100 gift card!! Boy could we use that about now! But, if we don't win we will still get a free lunch, not a bad deal!

I want COOKIES!!!!!! I don't know why but I am SO craving cookies at the moment! I wonder if there are any in the vending machine and if so do I REALLY want to spend that much on them or just go to Wal~Mart after work?? At least with the ones here there are only a few options, at WM I am likely to buy every stinking kind!

I would also like to know why crib sheets are SO expensive?!?!? I mean really, I can go buy a sheet for under $5 for Madison's twin size bed but have yet to see a crib sheet for under $7.99! And who wants the REALLY cheap ones that won't last through one wash and are itchy? Not me anyway! The nice comfy t-shirt material ones are like $12! Give me a break! Hmmmm wonder if I could make them myself, worth spending $5 to find out I think! lol
