On Monday Purple Glaze Studios offers a free studio fee so we took advantage of that and let the kids be little artists.
That night we went to see the play Oklahoma at Discoveryland. WHY they only do this show in the HOT summer and not the spring or fall is beyond me! Oklahoma + July + Outside = HOT! Once the sun set it was not bad at all but until then it was almost unbearable. While I love this show I do not recommend going with children under the age of 8 or 9. It is a 2 hour wait until intermission and even with my little girl that loves to watch people dance and sing that was a bit long to ask her to sit. We had front row seats which were great! Before the show starts they have singers and dancers that keep the crowd entertained. To our surprise the dancers come out to the audience and ask people to dance. Emma and Madison got to dance with them! It was so cute!
Wednesday was by far my FAVORITE day! We toured the Blue Bell ice cream play in Broken Arrow! You take a short tour and get to see just how they make the yummiest stuff on earth THEN you go back to the Country Store and get FREE samples!! YUM! It does cost to do the tour but it is only $2 for adults and $1 for kids and seniors, children under 5 (I think it is 5, it may be 3 or 4) are free. Kids get one scoop and adults get two. I sampled their newest flavor, Blackberry Cobbler, it was SOOOOO good! The rest of the day was spent outside enjoying the hole in the water hose.

Thursday was spent at home, other than mom taking all of us girls for pedicures. After that the kids played outside more and I went to therapy, shopping therapy that is.
Friday we went to the Kiefer fireworks show. You can see some of the 2008 show here, nobody has this years uploaded yet. The Kiefer show is by far the BEST show around. For such a small town they sure know how to put on a show! They average around 20,000 people every year I believe that come in to watch the show, the town's population is around 1000!! If you have not been and get the chance to go sometime I recommend sitting in the park, nothing like being RIGHT there!

Little Miss Mallory with Aunt Rita, Aunt Jo and Uncle Orville
On the 4th we grilled burgers and dogs and just visited. Oh, that afternoon we did take the kids to play Glo Putt. It was pretty fun.
All in all we did a lot of fun things but next year I think I will just go down for the Kiefer show. The kids about drove me NUTS! lol
